In 2010, Dr. William E. Arnold, Jr. was working and living in Nashville, Tenn., when he was falsely accused of a heinous crime. He was indicted, convicted by a jury of his peers, and sentenced to decades in prison.
His upcoming book will tell the story of what happened to him in prison, including gang violence, chronic health challenges, constant defeat in his legal appeals, racism, and a test of his faith. He endured three major fights: A physical fight to survive; a systematic fight to get out of the criminal justice environment; and an internal fight to keep going and stay sane.
